Brownies are a perfect way to use up all that chocolate and this recipe is amazeballs…perfect with a cuppa. Yeah go on then if your making :)
ingredients
250g salted butter
4 medium eggs
300g light muscovado sugar
60g cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
100g plain gf flour
200g dark chocolate chunks (I used lindt)
50g milk chocolate chunks (I used lindt)
240g mini eggs
2 bags of kit kat crispy eggs
method
Preheat the oven to 180c and line and grease a rectangular baking tray.
In a bowl over water in a saucepan melt the chocolate chunks and butter until all melted and smooth. Once melted take the bowl off carefully and leave to cool for ten minutes. Meanwhile whisk the eggs and sugar together until thick, add the cooled chocolate mix and combine thoroughly. Add the salt, vanilla then sift the flour and cocoa powder and fold through the mix. Add half of the chopped mini eggs through the brownie mix then pour into the baking tray. Bake for 30 minutes, it will still be slightly wobbly when you take it out but it will be fine once set. Unwrap the kitkat eggs and slightly push them in whilst the brownies are still warm and scatter the top with the leftover mini eggs. Completely cool and then cut into 12 pieces.
